SilverPoint Energy is an energy development company focused on renewable energy and low Btu natural gas. SilverPoint has successfully originated and sited a 200 megawatt wind farm in the Southwest Power Pool region, teaming up with a large development partner to complete development and construction. In addition to our renewable energy development activities, SilverPoint is focused on creating a market for historically stranded and low-Btu, high nitrogen natural gas.  SilverPoint has numerous other development projects in the Southern plains and Rocky Mountain states that are actively being developed.

The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that 17% of the known gas reserves in the continental United States contains > 4% nitrogen, making it below pipeline quality and, in most cases, stranding the gas due to the inability to get it to market.  That equates to approximately 32 Tcf of known gas reserves with no significant market.  SilverPoint has discovered a market that can be tapped for a large portion of this gas - with some minor engineering adjustments and additional equipment added to the facility.
